Small Towns Deserve Big Leadership

I am the Executive Director of Stokes Nature Center in Logan, UT, a position I have held since 2019. I earned a B.A. in International Studies from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA, and an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, DC. I grew up in small towns and rural mountain communities, where I learned the value of hard work, community, and showing up for those in need.

I have dedicated my career to community service by working in the nonprofit field.

I love to get outdoors with my husband, Allen, who I met while serving as an Americorps Service Fellow with the Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation. Together, we take care of our adorable supermutt named Tekoa.

I am the 2021 recipient of the Nat Frazer Environmental Education Leadership Award from the Utah Society of Environmental Education and the 2025 recipient of the Harry Reid award for Excellence in Land Conservation from the Cache Democrats. I volunteer as the spokesperson for the Cache Valley League of Women Voters, have served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for many years, coached Girls on the Run at Hillcrest Elementary and coach both girls and boys tennis at Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum. I have also been on the board for the Cache Open Space Advisory Committee for three years now. In 2022, I was certified as a Utah Master Naturalist and love to explore nature everywhere I go.

My Priorities

  • I am committed to protecting Utahns’ right to pass laws through the ballot initiative process. I oppose any attempts by political elites to take away the power of your vote through gerrymandering.

  • Our children deserve the same access to the natural world that we have. I will oppose any attempts to sell, destroy, or pollute our public lands.

  • I support cutting taxes that make life unnecessarily unaffordable for Cache County families. I support abolishing the state sales tax on food, and am committed to proposing a sales tax holiday on school supplies during the month of August.
